Welcome to Films by Rita. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By accessing this site or booking any service, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.
Booking & Payment

A non-refundable retainer fee of 50% of the total amount of services is required at the time of booking to secure your date. The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the event.

Payments can be made by e-transfer to filmsbyrita@gmail.com or cash.

Your booking is only confirmed once the retainer is received and the contract is signed.
Cancellation and Rescheduling

​If you cancel your booking, the retainer will not be refunded.

If you reschedule or in the event of force majeure, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your new date, subject to availability.

In the rare event we must cancel due to illness or emergency we will refund all monies paid or provide a comparable replacement videographer.
Delivery
-
Final videos will be delivered digitally within 8 to 10 weeks after the event. Should we need more time to edit for any reason, we will let you know in advance and provide a new estimated timeline.

Rush editing or additional edits may be available at an extra fee.
Creative Control

​You are hiring Films by Rita for our style and artistic judgment. We reserve full creative control over shot selection, editing style, and final presentation.

Raw footage is not included unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Copy Rights & Usage

Films by Rita retains the copyright to all footage captured.

We reserve the right to use footage for promotional purposes, including on our website, social media, or portfolio, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

Clients receive a personal-use license for their video(s). Commercial use must be agreed upon separately.
Client Responsibility

​It is your responsibility to obtain all necessary permissions for filming at the venue(s).

You agree to cooperate and provide accurate information throughout the booking and filming process.
Liability

While we take the utmost care in filming and editing, we are not liable for circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to venue restrictions, weather, equipment failure, or loss of footage due to acts of God.
