Refund Policy
Last Updated: July 2, 2025
At Films by Rita, we understand that wedding plans can sometimes change. Below is our refund policy regarding cancellations, rescheduling, and payments for videography services.
Retainer Payments
-
A non-refundable retainer is required to secure your wedding date.
-
This retainer covers administrative tasks, planning, and the reservation of your date — which means we turn away other clients for that day.
-
Retainers are non-refundable under any circumstances, including cancellation or change of date, unless the cancellation is initiated by us (see below).
Final Balance Payments
-
The final payment is due 7 days before your wedding date.
-
If you have paid the full balance owed and cancel services less than 30 days before the wedding date, no refund will be issued.
-
If you have paid the full balance owed and cancel more than 30 days before the wedding day, Films by Rita will keep the retainer amount of 50% and refund the remaining amount.
Rescheduling
-
If you need to reschedule we will do our best to accommodate your new date, subject to availability.
-
If we are unavailable on your new date, the original retainer remains non-refundable and a new booking may be required.
Cancellation by Us
-
In the rare event that Films by Rita must cancel due to emergency, illness, or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive:
-
A full refund of all payments made, including the retainer
-
Or, if preferred and possible, a replacement videographer will be arranged at no extra cost
-
No Refunds After Delivery
-
Once your final wedding film is delivered, no refunds will be issued.
-
If you are unhappy with the final edit, we welcome reasonable revision requests within 14 days of delivery.
-
Additional edits beyond the agreed package may incur an extra fee.
